The Publisher does not operate any server that receives your notes, your account information or your usage. The app contains no analytics, no advertising SDK and no tracking of any kind.

We do not know who you are, how many notes you have or what they contain.

Notes, folders and attachments are stored on your device and, when iCloud is enabled, in your personal iCloud account through Apple's CloudKit service. This data is stored in your private iCloud database, which the Publisher cannot access.

Preferences such as theme, accent color, editor mode and typography are synced through the iCloud key-value store, also tied to your Apple account.

Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's privacy policy. You can disable iCloud for Markdownator at any time in your device settings; your notes then stay local.

Optional features are unlocked by a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple through the App Store. The Publisher receives no payment details and no personal information about you. The app only checks with Apple whether the purchase is active on your account and caches that status locally so it works offline.

When a note contains an image loaded from a web address, your device fetches it directly from that address. The remote server may see your IP address, as with any web request. Images pasted or dropped into a note are stored with your notes.

Markdownator does not collect personal data and is suitable for all ages.
